Paint Trends 2019

2019 is just around the corner and trends for the new year are starting to rise to the top! Benjamin Moore went a lot more neutral for 2019 with AF-690 Metropolitan. The thing I like about this "neutral" is that it still has color! In case no one told you, color can be neutral!! I love that color is popular on every surface not just your walls but in draperies, islands and even woodwork!



I think if color is a little out of your comfort zone then start with a smaller space like a bedroom where you can close the door and not see it at all times of the day. I personally like a darker color for a bedroom. I think it's easier to bring color into the space when you have pillows, bedspreads and rugs as examples to play off of. When in doubt it's just paint, so go ahead, step outside of that comfort zone and go darker than you normally would!

Farmhouse...COLOR

Of course when talking farmhouse style these days only one name comes to mind for most people... Joanna Gaines. She has of course melted our hearts with her room designs and has us drooling over her paint colors! So I thought what better knowledge than her 25 paint line colors matched to benjamin moore colors! (Don't worry, you can thank me later) and please remember to use these images only for reference! Go into a benjamin moore dealer and look at the color IN PERSON, then take that color home and look at it in your lighting! How to choose the right color

Believe it or not, there are actually a few things to consider when trying to choose a paint color, for any room! 1. To each their own : choose a color because you like it  not because it's on trend or because I told you it's the right one.  You have to live there not me! Trends aren't always right  either, for example GRAY.  Grays have been trending for many years now but in the  perfect scenario they are paired with white trim and often  have a cooler feel to them.  Remember, look at the color choice in your lighting before painting. 2.
